EXPRESS ASPHALT TURNS
UP THE HEAT AT STOCKPORT
Express Asphalt, which specialises in the collection
and delivery of asphalt for building and construction projects,
has invested in new hot storage bins at its Stockport plant based
in Bredbury, Greater Manchester, to significantly reduce waiting
times for customers.
The Stockport plant produces a full range of asphalt
products including special coloured asphalts such as Bardon Europave,
red asphalts, pre-coating chippings and also offers a selection
of merchanting products for sale, such as wheelbarrows, gloves and
hand tools.
Targeting local authorities, utility reinstatement
contractors, local surfacing and construction companies and pavers
in and around Greater Manchester and Cheshire, the installation
of two new asphalt hot storage bins, which together offer a total
capacity of 100 tonnes, will be of direct benefit to collect trade
customers.
Express Asphalt business manager for Stockport, Stuart
Race, comments, “This latest investment aims to further enhance
the service we offer customers, by significantly reducing waiting
times and increasing vehicle turnaround times. In addition the extra
capacity will enable us to increase the amount of asphalt deliveries
we make within the region.”
Express Asphalt has a network of plants throughout
the UK which are easily accessible by transport networks and carefully
located to reduce travelling times for collections by local customers.
All plants are able to produce small quantities of asphalt and are
designed to allow quick and efficient loading.
