EXPRESS ASPHALT EXTENDS
ITS RANGE FOR EXETER CUSTOMERS
Customers visiting Express Asphalt’s Exeter
plant, based at Rockbeare Hill Quarry, can now purchase a wider
range of asphalt, drystone and merchanting products following a
significant capital investment programme.
Based just seven miles from Exeter, Express Asphalt
has invested in the latest state-of-art-technology for a new additive
system and improved bitumen storage facilities. As well as providing
the ability to offer new product lines, the changes will ensure
improved environmental performance due to more efficient operation
and even better health and safety procedures through increased storage
capacity and a fail-safe off loading system.
A leading supplier of asphalt, Express Asphalt Exeter
provides black and coloured macadam and asphalt, sub base, drystone,
asphalt emulsions and protective equipment. The plant is set up
to offer a predominantly collection service for local term maintenance,
utility and small asphalt contracts, based in and around the Exeter
area, in addition to both commercial light industrial and consumer
projects, such as driveways.
Commenting on the improvements, Mat Gosling, territory
sales manager for Express Asphalt, said: “Significant capital
expenditure has been made to provide a new system, which allows
the blending of bitumen, thereby adding extra product lines. A new
additive system also provides automated dosing of three different
additives to the mix, making products easier to store and maintain.
“Overall we hope the programme will further
enhance the service we offer to customers, as well as reducing waiting
and improving vehicle turnaround times.”
